Cell phone viruses are not yet a major threat, but security experts think they may be soon. There are some out there, and you can be pretty sure that porn is used to distribute them.
It's like your computer for the most part: you're at risk to get a virus if you open an attachment from someone you don't know. But you also could get one through a Bluetooth transfer. To prevent that turn off the "discoverable" mode in your phone's Bluetooth options. If it's on, other people can scan and detect your phone and send a virus to it. (Again -- it's not happening a lot, but why take the chance?)
